WHAT'S UP? This Week at Seanchai Libraries

First of all - Happy New Year!

It was a wild and magical December with this year's Dickens Project. What with the timing of the holiday and the closing of Dickens, we are making this a light week.  Don't panic!  We'll be back in full swing next week with several new series and plenty of stories to share.

This week there will only be one session, Thursday, January 3rd at 7pm with Shandon
THE ICE DRAGON by George R.R. Martin

In George R.R. Martin's world of A Song of Ice and Fire the ice dragon was a creature of legend and fear, for no man had ever tamed one. When it flew overhead, it left in its wake desolate cold and frozen land. But Adara was not afraid. For Adara was a winter child, born during the worst freeze that anyone, even the Old Ones, could remember.

And be sure and take some time to visit the plein-air exhibition of artist Luis Royo's illustrations for the novella, just up the stairs from the Library on the Gallery front lawn.
