THE CLOSING DAY OF DICKENS 2017

It's the Closing Day of The 2017 Edition of The Dickens Project and we have every reason to celebrate.

No stories today?  There are not, but there have been over 25 hours of live stories including plenty of sessions of The Christmas Carol over the last five weeks.

Music?  Yes there will be music, and what's more, The Dickens Project has featured a previously unprecedented 12 hours of music presentations plus five hours of large stage dance performances.

To Date there have been 2900 visits to LEA 7 since the doors opened November 25th, and over 33% of them returned for multiple visits.  As the previous 10-14 days of Dickens expanded to 36 days, more people than ever were touched by The Dickens Project's vision of providing the opportunity to "walk in the steps of Ebenezer Scrooge."

CLOSING DAY celebrates these many successes, before The Dickens Project fades into "Past."

@ 1pm - JOSIE ANDERTON, Live in Dickens Square!
Josie is a breath of fresh air on the live music scene in SL.  Her sultry voice and sense of fun along with an electric mix of blues, rock, pop and romance will have you dancing one minute and sending tingles up your spine the next. Her energy is contagious and Josie's voice defines talent at it's best. One listen and you are hooked. An incredibly interactive, playful performer who's laugh is as infectious as her singing is music for the soul.

2-4pm - THE LAST DANCE in Dickens Square, with DJ Gabrielle Riel
Gabrielle Riel is the general director of Radio Riel and the recipient of the February 2016 Avi Choice Award for Favorite SL Radio DJ.

She has been broadcasting for over 11 years and has played for Second Life Relay for Life, Fantasy Faire, Burn2 and the official 2008 Inauguration Ball for President Barack Obama.

She plays several monthly programs on Radio Riel that feature all music genres with emphasis on Early Music, Celtic, Classical, Jazz and EDM. Learn more at http://radioriel.org .

@ 8pm - The Finale Performance by GUERILLA BURLESQUE

GB is going to help us bid farewell to this year's Dickens Project, bringing their boundless creativity and artistic joy to the stage in a stunning encore-finale performance on Dickens Square.

Come early to grab you seat (the one you sit IN, not the one you sit ON) and be kind to your cache.  NOTE: This is burlesque, so while the show is appropriate for a Moderate sim, it might not suit all tastes.

The Dickens Project on LEA 7, at least for one more day...
