Seanchai Library Update: Stories, Birthdays, & Stuff

It's March, and already we're back in the story-reading business after our Standard winter hiatus.

Shandon thrilled with a new story, The Seanchai's Shadow, and Caledonia has been charming with Allen Levi's Theo of Golden

THIS WEEK, Theo of Golden will continue on Tuesday, March 17th (St. Patrick's Day!) at 7pm slt. Following immediately will be a Library tradition, the annual presentation of Irish author Maurice Walsh's short story The Quiet Man. Seanchai Flicks on Wednesday night March 18th will screen the Academy Award-winning 1951 film based on the short story at 7pm slt.

Seanchai Library's Birthday Celebration has been postponed (due to Rl doing that RL thing) till Sunday afternoon, April 12th. Mark your calendar and plan on joining us to celebrate stories in The Glen at 1pm that day.

The Seanchaí's Shadow

It's Friday the 13th in the bogs.
The silence is chilling, but the seanchaí’s story is louder.

On Friday the 13th, just four days before St. Patrick's Day, in the desolate bogs of modern Ireland, a person vanishes without a trace, leaving behind an empty room and a chilling silence. But where the police see a cold case, folklore student Sarah sees a pattern—one written in the ink of a century-old manuscript.

 Vignettes from the Vintage Heart

What happens to the love letters that never get sent?
Where do the old songs go when the radio is turned off?

This Valentine's season, Storylink Radio invites you to step out of the noise of the modern world and into the quiet sanctuary of the past. Join us for a special live event:
"Vignettes from the Vintage Heart."

Our guide for the evening is Arthur—a traveler through time who collects memories like others collect stamps. He has opened his dusty cedar chest to share a collection of interconnected tales spanning a century of romance. Together, we will visit a 1950s projectionist’s booth on its final night, wait for a ghost train in a fog-drenched station, and even drift through the cold expanse of space with only a jazz record for company.

It’s an evening of noir, whimsy, and deep nostalgia, broadcast live across the virtual worlds of Second Life and Kitely, and streaming directly to YouTube.

The Library of Dust

What happens when the stories we burn refuse to die?

📺
Check out our "Martian Gothic" vibe Teaser!

In celebration of Edgar Allan Poe’s birthday, Storylink Radio and the Seanchai Library invite you to cross sixty million miles of space for a haunting unlike any other. In 1950, Ray Bradbury gave us 'Usher II'—a tale of a man who built a masterpiece of gothic vengeance on the red sands of Mars .
Now, we present the full, expanded tetralogy:
The Library of Dust:
Beyond the House of Usher
Follow William Thomas Stendahl and Joseph 'Pip' Pikes from the soot-choked libraries of the Great Fire on Earth to the silent lava tubes of the Blue Mountains. Experience the original classic reimagined with new layers of lore, from the secret bargains of childhood to the 'Library of Dust' that seeds the future of a new generation. It is a story of masks, metaphors, and a mechanical bat flapping in the October hush of the red dunes . Join us live across Second Life, Opensim Kitely, and YouTube for a masterclass in immersive storytelling.

The Red Death is coming...
but this time, it’s the imagination.
