Sunday, December 18th: THE BIG READ ~ "A Christmas Carol"

I have endeavoured in this Ghostly little book to raise the Ghost of an Idea which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with the season, or with me. May it haunt their house pleasantly, and no one wish to lay it.

Your faithful Friend and Servant,    --C. D

Beginning at Noon slt/pacific, THE BIG READ: all of the words in Dickens’ 1843

holiday-defining novella read in one session with a chorus of voices.  We heed the advice of

Lewis Carroll to begin at the beginning, and when we get to the end we stop. It’s about three

and a quarter hours, presented live on stream.

Enjoy this Second Life tradition in the Opera House at The Dickens Project.  Teleport is

available from the Welcome Center, or via the ground level Opera House entrance.

God Bless Us, Everyone!
