Our friends from eClipse Club & Resort continue their jubilant residency at Dickens tonight with DJ JAdmiral Maelstrom will spin 2 hours of Holiday favorites at The Opera House for a "Holiday Formal."

LOTS TO DO at The Dickens Project: December 14 & 15

In addition to balloon rides, and horse cart tours, strolling the streets exploring while listening to "A Christmas Carol" and using the new Points of Interest Mini-Map to help you discover parts of the story and activity markers, and visiting the art gallery (there's just do much to do!) we have the following events scheduled . . .

@ Noon - The Night Before Humbug!

Divertissement in dance presented by Evolution Dance. (Come early to get a seat and be kind to your Viewer). 

@ 7-9pm- "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" with DJ Iniry

Our friends from eClipse Club & Resort continue their great line-up of music & dance events. DJ Iniry will spin 2 hours of rockin' seasonal music to make your heart happy and your feet dance at The Opera House.

@ 10am - The Night Before Humbug! - Final Performance

@ 2pm - Tea with Mr. Dickens - The Pickwick Papers

Selections from the early works of Charles Dickens, with a slight lean towards the spooky! Presented live at Fezziwig's Courtyard.

SUNDAY, October 27th: A Pair of Intriguing Events at The Bradbury Project

 

@1:30pm - The Halloween Tree Story Tour  - Part 3

"The unemployed of all midnight Europe shivered in their stone sleep and came awake."

Ray Bradbury's tale of youth, life, death, and Halloween continues, in the Story Tour format with presenter Caledonia Skytower guiding guests through the story while visiting the elements of the story and Bradbury's work that inspired the region.

@7-10pm - eClipse at The Bradbury Project

Join us in the shadow of The Halloween Tree for the final contribution from our friends at eClipse Club & Resort as DJs TigerPawz and Caledonia combine their sinister efforts to present "Dr. Frankenstein's Halloween Boogie." Music, Dancing, Random Raffles and Jeopardy!

All events today will be live on stream, re-direct teleports available from the Green Town section to appropriate location of the region.

SATURDAY. October 26th: Stories, Music, and Fun at The Bradbury Project

 

@Noon - Ray's Tales

More short stories from the works of Ray Bradbury including stories from Dandelion Wine and The October Country live on stream in the Green Town Park at The Bradbury Project. 

Today: a selected story from "The October Country" . . .  1955 collection of nineteen macabre short stories. It reprints fifteen of the twenty-seven stories of his 1947 collection Dark Carnival, and adds four more of his stories previously published elsewhere.

TODAY at The Dickens Project - 12.16 ... A Big Day in a Big Weekend!

 

Has it only been a week that this year's Dickens Project has been open? So much has happened! And we are about to transition into another phase of this year's event schedule: Carol Week!

But first . . .

@ 7-9pm - ECLIPSE CLUB & RESORT concludes their week-long residency Saturday night, December 16th:  Santa's Helpers with DJ Iniry at The Opera House

The HELP TINY TIM! hunt is underway.  This search-and-count style hunt invites you to “Help Tiny Tim!” who has left his crutch somewhere, everywhere across the two Dickens regions. Information on “Help Tiny Tim!” is available at the Welcome area.

CAROL WEEK begins Sunday, December 17th at Noon with THE BIG READ of A Christmas Carol. Then come the daily Story Tours, one Stave (or chapter) at a time Monday through Thursday. The tours combine a live presentation of the story with visits to the key locations across The Dickens Project that reflect specific parts of the story.  All tours will take place twice daily at 1pm & 7pm slt.

  • Monday, December 18th - Stave One "Marley's Ghost"
  • Tuesday, December 19th - Stave Two "The First of Three Spirits" 
  • Wednesday, December 20th - Stave Three "The Second of Three Spirits" 
  • Thursday, December 21st - Staves Four & Five "The Last of the Spirits" & "The End of It"

PLUS look for some special holiday events close in to Christmas, for those looking for a little extra comfort and joy! There's still plenty of music and stories to come!

After several days of inspiring dance performances, it's time to get everyone on their feet to PAR-TAY! eClipse Club & Resort starts out it's week long residency tonight!

@7pm: SUNDAY NIGHT SKATING PARTY

DJ Caledonia and Host Kath kick off the eClipse residency at the Dickens Skating Pond with two hours of holiday comfort and joy. Slip, slide, skate, dance, or do all of them at once!
