Things have thawed on the Bradley University sim, but it still is technically Winter. What's more it's the day after St Valentine's Day and Trolley's steps are still waltzing to the string'ed strains of romance.Two Wodehousian stories of romance tonight:
"Absent Treatment" from My Man Jeeves - a newly married man forgets his first wedding anniversary and there's Hell to pay.
"The Romance of an Ugly Policeman" from The Man with Two Left Feet - features a husband whose wife controls the purse strings. For those readers who have been acquainted with Wodehouse’s “upper crust” characters, this story affords a chance to appreciate just how masterfully Wodehouse wrote about the “rest of us” struggling to make our way in life.
