My last reading of Charles de Lint's marvelouly quirky contemporary fantasies was marred by ongoing voice issues, and I promised to return soon with more of his work ... "soon" is tonight!
Charles de Lint experiences the world as a multidimensioned, magical, surprising, dangerous, damaging, and redemptive place full of amazing beings only some of whom are human.
For tonight, I've chosen passages from his novel Someplace to be Flying, which is about ... what, exactly? Hard to say. It's some about the power of story, and about bloodlines and history, and about trying to do what's right. Oh yes, it's also about birds. Sort of.
Live reading in voice, chat in voice or text ... all welcome!
