MONDAY, March 8th at 7pm: Part II: "The Irish Dresser"

The reality of the potato blight has once again come upon Nora and her family. For people who subsist on an endless diet of potatoes and buttermilk, what happens when there are no more potatoes, and no money for buttermilk? Nora watches as the poor of Ireland painfully starve, and many like the McCabe's have to seriously consider whether to continue their struggle and die of hunger, or seek life away from the land of their fathers.

During "An Gorta Mor" over one million Irish were estimated to have died of starvation, and some two million left Ireland in search of a life across the sea. This week the McCabe family decides which it will be.
