One time in Arizona some cowboys "holed up" during a storm in a ranch and as they waited for the storm and night to pass sat around the campfire and traded stories.  What is contained in the book is a series of stories like in the Arabian Nights and the Canterbury Tales one will lead into another as each cowbow tries to outdo the story that was just told. Stories in voice.

FRIDAY 23 December at 7pm: The Night Before The Night Before Christmas

Join the Seanchai Library folks for their traditional Night Before the Night Before Christmas!  Caledonia, Bear, Derry and others will bring their favorite versions of "The Night Before Christmas", and it is rumored that the Grinch will may make an appearance!  Stories in voice for good boys and girls.

TUESDAY November 8 at 7pm: O. Henry Westerns!

Saddle up podner, and join BigRed Coyote, Bear Silvershade and Derry McMahon as they present the O.Henry classics: "Ransom of Red Chief", "Princess and the Puma" and "Indian Summer of Dry Valley Johnson".  Stories in voice, with at least one authentic Texas drawl.

SUNDAY 14 August at Noon: Trickster Tales

In mythology, and in the study of folklore and religion, a trickster is a god, goddess, spirit, man, woman, or anthropomorphic animal who plays tricks or otherwise disobeys normal rules and conventional behavior.

Join the Seanchai Storytellers for trickster stories from many lands. We'll share stories of coyote, raven, anansi the spider, Brer Rabbit, and the tortoise. Stories in voice at the Fig Grotto in Fruit Islands!

TUESDAY 26 July at 7pm: Tall Tales of Giants!

Join us for tall tales of giants...the good, the bad, the friend, the foe. Giants appear in tales and legends from many lands - and we'll find a nice sampling here from several of the tall tale tellers of Seanchai Library.

Our newest team members: Faery Maven and BigRed Coyote will each bring a story too!
