Aoife Lorefield, Dubhna Rhiadra, Derry McMahon, Shandon Loring, Bear Silvershade, Corwyn Allen, Kayden O'Connell, and Caledonia Skytower will all collect in the upper meadow at the Library for some Selections from Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM . . . and you can pick whether you see it under the stars, sunset, sunrise, or the bright illumination of daylight.

Come on down and pull up a picnic blanket or a bench and enjoy a little midsummer madness.

Join the Seanchai Library at Mystery Manor, as they present an excellent Sherlock Holmes' mystery.

Kayden Oconnell and Bear Silvershade reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson; Caledonia Skytower relates the part of Helen Stoner, and Crap Mariner supplies a number of character voices.

The story: A young woman named Helen Stoner consults the detective Sherlock Holmes about the suspicious death of her sister, Julia. One night, after conversing with her twin sister about her upcoming wedding day, Julia screamed and came to the hallway where Helen came out to see her, in Julia's dying words she said "it was the band, the speckled band!" Join us to hear how Holmes and Watson solve this mystery! Story presented in voice.

WEDNESDAY 15 June at 7pm: Chick Lit Travel Tales with Derry

Join Derry with fun, foolish and sometimes frustrating stories of travel adventures. Where shall we go tonight?

Get your passport ready, because we will learn what to pack (and not to pack!), how to ride a camel, how the right outfit makes all the difference, how Arab men react when your panties are on show, how to wear a chador, and how important it is to pack proper reading materials. We'll meet clever women who tell us about the ravioli man, a gondolier, and a hot leather merchant.

TUESDAY 14 June at 7pm: "Staggerford" (pt 2) with Kayden Oconnell

Jon Hassler's "Staggerford". Part 2.

Jon Hassler grew up in rural Minnesota and wrote about his roots in small town life in his novel "Staggerford", about a high school English teacher and the remarkable and unremarkable people he meets. Hassler taught for years and said that "after a young graduate told him studying literature had taken all the fun out of reading, he made it a personal mission to make studying literature fun again."

In "Staggerford", we'll meet Miles Pruitt, a 35 year old bachelor, during one increasingly eventful week of his life. Story in voice.

More from Gail Carson Levine's re-envisioning of the Snow White legend.

Aza has made an impossible pact with Queen Ivi to "illuse" for her and be her singing voice. All the while she struggles with her own awkwardness and "ugliness." But there is much of Aza to admire, and beauty is not always found on the surface.

The adventure continues in voice, with Caledonia Skytower.

Imagine Sherlock Holmes meets the X-Files!

Storyteller Rosslyn Guardian continues a series of short stories written in the early 1900's by Englishwoman Dion Fortune. Ms. Fortune was a Kabbalistic Ritualist who, with her group, did esoteric work to combat the occult workings of Hitler during WW II. Meditating through the blitz in London, she later moved to Glastonbury to continue her work.

Although she wrote mostly nonfiction, she did write a few novels, very dated by today's standards, but her real fiction gem was this book of short stories."Secrets of Dr. Taverner"The character of Dr. Taverner is a Holmesian fellow who runs a residential clinic in the English countryside. With a background in esoterics he deals with cases the establishment couldn't touch.
