TUESDAY, July 30th at 7pm: THE PENDERWICKS IN SPRING Concludes

Batty's sense of her place in her family is shattered, affecting everything in her life. In this numb fog, a light is about to shine.  Is her grief for Hound and for her Mom the same thing, and how does her music play into that?

The Penderwicks in Spring is about fun and family and friends (and dogs), and what happens when you bring what’s hidden into the bright light of the sun.

Caledonia presents the conclusion, live on stream.

TUESDAY, July 23rd at 7pm: THE PENDERWICKS IN SPRING Continues

It all seemed to be going so well, with Nick Geiger coming home, and sister Rosalind's unexpected arrival. Even having TWO dogs to walk did not seem so bad, for Batty who still mourns the loss of her beloved Hound. But an unexpected, unwelcome guest plus an ill-considered midnight conversation send batty into a tail spin of unhappiness.

The Penderwicks in Spring is about fun and family and friends (and dogs), and what happens when you bring what’s hidden into the bright light of the sun.

TUESDAY, June 18th at 7PM: THE PENDERWICKS IN SPRING Begins

Caledonia brings us to some old friends with a new adventure... Jeanne Birdsall's Penderwick Family.

Springtime is finally arriving on Gardam Street, and with it comes all the joyful chaos of the Penderwicks. The brood has grown to six with the addition of Lydia, the new youngest sibling, and there are surprises in store for all.

Some surprises are just wonderful, like Nick Geiger coming home from war. And some are ridiculous, like Batty’s new dog-walking business, which has resulted in her spending an inordinate amount of time with Duchess, a very fat dachshund, and Cilantro, a wrinkled shar-pei with a bark like a lovelorn tuba. Batty is saving up her dog-walking money for an extra-special surprise for her family, which she plans to present on her upcoming birthday. The timing is perfect: Rosalind will be home from college, Skye and Jane will put their bothersome teenage worries aside to celebrate, and Jeffrey, honorary Penderwick and Batty’s musical mentor, will be visiting from Boston. But when an unwelcome surprise arrives, the best-laid plans fall apart.

Filled with all the heart, hilarity, and charm that have come to define this beloved clan, The Penderwicks in Spring is about fun and family and friends (and dogs), and what happens when you bring what’s hidden into the bright light of the spring sun.

WEDNESDAY, September 16th at 7 PM: THE PENDERWICKS ON GARDAM STREET Continues

Nope!  We don't know who the mysterious Marianne is yet - the one dating Mr. Penderwick.

Nope!  Batty and Ben have not captured Bug man yet.

Nope! Skye has not found a way to get out of doing the stupid play that Jane wrote for her, which Skye turned in as her own but which she is now doomed to play the leading role in.  Such a shame that she cannot act!

Nope! Rosalind is not really talking to Tommy Geiger, who is still dating the annoying Trilby.

It's Halloween on Gardam Street, and it is all about to explode in a delightful concussion of mayhem that only the Penderwick sisters can conjure.

WEDNESDAY, September 9th at 7 pm: More from THE PENDERWICKS ON GARDAM STREET

What'd the buzz about The Penderwicks on Gardam Street?

"THE PENDERWICKS ON GARDAM STREET is a rare treat --- the family novel that the entire family, from relatively young children to adults, will enjoy reading aloud together. It is old-fashioned without seeming nostalgic, optimistic without seeming naive, big-hearted and happy without seeming saccharine. The Penderwicks are a modern literary family that families can feel good about inviting into their own homes. And, since this latest novel is but the second in a projected five-book cycle, readers can anticipate having the Penderwicks in their lives for many years to come."

~ Norah Piehl, kidsread.com

"Sometimes new people join your family and even when they are lovely it can be tricky to adjust. This book, the second in the best-selling Penderwick series, is about how the four sisters cope when their Dad starts going on dates . . . Batty and Ben are onto the mysterious Bug Man, Rosalind is feeling differently about her friend, Tommy Geiger, and Skye and Jane do each other's homework with exciting results. I love the play that Jane writes! The ending is super happy, Jeffery turns up again and the whole thing makes you want to jump into the air."

WEDNESDAY, September 2nd at 7 PM: More from THE PENDERWICKS ON GARDAM STREET

It's time for the "Save Daddy Plan" as the Penderwick sisters gather to thwart the misguided, if well intended plans of their beloved Aunt and late Mother to get their father out and about dating again.  haven't they ever heard of EVIL stepmothers?

So usher in "The Plan" - as clever as the girls are diverse.  Yet, there is a lot to be said for implementing such a plan in the wild world of Cameron, Connecticut.  And the girls have yet to reckon with the cleverness of the adults involved.

WEDNESDAY, August 26th at 7PM: THE PENDERWICKS ON GARDAM STREET Begins!

THEY ARE BACK!  Rosalind, Skye, Jane, and Batty (plus Hound).

In the second book about the Penderwicks, the sisters are home on Gardam Street and ready for an adventure! But the adventure they get isn’t quite what they had in mind. Mr. Penderwick’s sister has decided it’s time for him to start dating—and the girls know that can only mean one thing: disaster.

Enter the Save Daddy Plan—a plot so brilliant, so bold, so funny, that only the Penderwick girls could have come up with it. But in the meantime, they have some other problems to deal with. Rosalind can’t seem to get the annoying Tommy Geiger out of her hair—and she can’t stand him, really. Skye loses her temper on the soccer field in a most undignified manner. Jane’s love of creative writing leads her into deep waters. And Batty’s getting into mischief spying on the new next-door neighbor. As for Hound, he’s always in trouble.

Caledonia begins the adventure tonight, Live in Voice.
