Twelve year-old Douglas Spaulding attempts to avoid death by saving a wax Tarot Witch from a
penny arcade. He is faced with the
reality of his mortality and decides to try to find a way to avoid death. He
believes that if he can free the Tarot Witch, she will help him live forever.
