WEDNESDAY, November 1st at 7pm: DIA DE LOS MUERTOS ~ "Day of the Dead"

Día de los Muertos is a time-honored holiday with deep cultural roots. The traditional Mexico and in many places throughout the United States, Día de los Muertos and its rituals date back thousands of years, where it was celebrated by the Olmec, Toltex, Mexika, and Maya. Poets and authors have commemorated Día de los Muertos by writing about childhood memories, their families - living and dead, and the foods and traditions associated with the holiday.
commemoration, celebrated in

“Terra-cotta shrines for loved ones
Who died to hurt us. We rehearse
Their tunes & display their favorite
Colors in a labyrinth of unwinding rooms…”
