Three great events today to kick off out 8 days of Dickens...
The Dickens Project 2016 on Water Haven in Second Life.
@ 11am - Josie Anderton gets us off to a rocking start at Christmas Present Square.
Josie Anderton is a breath of fresh air. Her sultry voice and sense of fun along with an electric mix of blues, rock, pop and romance will have you dancing one minute and sending tingles up your spine the next. Her energy is contagious and defines talent at it's best. Once listen and you are hooked. An incredibly interactive, playful performer who's laugh is as infectious as her singing is music for the soul.
@ Noon - Wald Schridde sings Sea Shanties at the Christmas Past Dock. Wald sings and plays folk songs, traditional tunes and early music on guitar, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, recorders, mandolin, and penny whistle. As "The One-Man Renaissance Band", he creates layered, multi-track recordings of medieval and renaissance music. An amazing musician of astounding breadth.
@ 2pm - A Dickens Sampler in Christmas Present Square
Corwyn Allen and Caledonia Skytower present the opening hour of stories with selections from the novels of Charles Dickens including "Oliver Twist" and "Great Expectations". Live in voice.
