Events at Seanchai Libraries this week - all stories told in open voice, all times Pacific Time:

Sunday, September 28th at:

• 9am  @ SEANCHAI KITELY -  Nocturnes with Shandon Loring.  Dark, daring, utterly haunting tales of lost lovers, predatory demons, and vengeful ghosts, from author John Connolly of Dublin, Ireland.

• 1:30 pm  TEA TIME at Baker Street!. HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES Begins! 

         The Hound of the Baskervilles is the third of
         the four crime novels written by Sir Arthur Conan
         Doyle featuring the detective Sherlock Holmes.
         Originally serialized in The Strand Magazine from
         August 1901 to April 1902, it is set largely                        
         on Dartmoor in Devon in England's West Country
         and tells the story of an attempted murder inspired
         by the legend of a fearsome, diabolical hound of
         supernatural origin. Sherlock Holmes and his
         companion Dr. Watson investigate the case.
 
Monday, September 29th at 7 pm -  THE WEIRDNESS OF JOHN WATERS, with Crap Mariner - "...all the weirdness without the truly icky parts."

Tuesday, September 30th at 7 pm - IRISH GHOST STORIES with Caledonia 

Wednesday, October 1st at 7 pm -  Connie Willis' BELLWEATHER with Caledonia Skytower

Thursday, October 2nd at 

• 7 pm  -  BENEATH THE SURFACE with Shandon Loring
• 9 pm  -  SEANCHAI LATE NIGHT with Finn Zeddmore

Saturday, October 4th at :

• 9am  @ SEANCHAI KITELY -  More NOCTURNES with Shandon Loring. 

• 10am  @ SEANCHAI KITELY -  THE GRAVEYARD BOOK with Caledonia Skytower.  Neil Gaiman's 2009 Newbery Medal adventure of a boy raised in a graveyard and by its incorporeal residents, who take on this burden to save his young life.

All stories in voice and take place at Seanchai Libray on Imagination Island in Second Life, unless otherwise noted. Schedule subject to change, because that is just how life is sometimes.  

All sessions at the Seanchai Library (SL) are offered free to all Residents.  Guests at Second Life sessions are welcome to join us in donating to our featured charity.  Our featured charity for September-October is Reading Is Fundamental (http://rif.org)  RIF's mission is to motivate young children to read by working with them, their parents, and community members to make reading a fun and beneficial part of everyday life. RIF's highest priority is reaching underserved children from birth to age 8.
