Today a new teatime series begins for the fall featuring Roger Zelazny's final work - a celebration of the spookable season presented weekly. The story is told in the first-person, akin to journal entries. The title is a line from Edgar Allan Poe's "Ulalume" and Zelazny thanks him as well as others – Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Bloch and Albert Payson Terhune – whose most famous characters appear in the book.

Corwyn Allen, Da5id Abbot, Gloriana Maertens and Caledonia Skytower get us started on a new adventure, live on Stream in The Glen http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nowhereville/197/131/21

WEDNESDAY, September 22nd at 7pm: AUTUMN in Music & Poetry

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,

   Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;

Conspiring with him how to load and bless

   With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;

To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,

   And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;

      To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells

   With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,

And still more, later flowers for the bees,

Until they think warm days will never cease,

      For summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells . . .

            ~ from "To Autumn" by John Keats

THURSDAY, September 16th at 7pm: THE SEA & LITTLE FISHES - A Discworld Story

Caledonia shares another story from the plentiful canon of Terry Pratchett. Granny Weatherwax is NOT happy. And when Granny is not happy . . . but what if she were happy, contented, and free of sharp edges? Now THAT would be deeply frightening!

A coalition of witches, led by self-appointed organizer Lettice Earwig, asks Granny Weatherwax not to participate in the annual Lancre Witch Trials, on account of her always winning. She agrees, becoming disconcertingly nice.

Presented Live on Stream in The Glen.

WEDNESDAY, September 8th at 7pm: HOLLYWOOD CHICKENS and more!

More selections from A BLINK OF THE SCREEN in The Glen

In the four decades since his first book appeared in print, Terry Pratchett has become one of the world's best-selling and best-loved authors. Here for the first time are his short stories and other short-form fiction collected into one volume. A Blink of the Screen charts the course of Pratchett's long writing career: from his schooldays through to his first writing job on the Bucks Free Press, and the origins of his debut novel, The Carpet People; and on again to the dizzy mastery of the phenomenally successful Discworld series.

Caledonia reads Hollywood Chickens, and more. Presented live on stream in The Glen.
