Join the Seanchai storytellers at the lovely grotto on Fig Island in Fruit Islands for fairy tales.
Some of these will be...fractured...rather than the traditional stories, making them all the more fun.

Seanchai ("Storyteller" in Irish) Library celebrates the Celtic tradition of stories told around the hearth or in the pub to friends, family, and welcomed strangers. Seanchai Libraries bring stories of all kinds to life, in Second Life.

The "Girls of Summer" continue their adventure in Maine in this great third book in Jeanne Birdsall's series on the Penderwick sisters.

Story will be proceeded by a musical encore of "The Faery Reel" by Neil Gaiman, and a brief Introduction to the Faeries, by Teri Windling.

TUESDAY 19 July at 7pm: More Magical Tales of Merlin with Derry McMahon
MONDAY, July 18th at 7:00pm: Part I "The Penderwicks at Point Mouette"
The Penderwick sisters’ third adventure brings them back in full entertaining force, despite the absence of their father, who is honeymooning in England, and Rosalind, who’s vacationing with a friend in New Jersey. Birdsall fills the gaps in the family ranks with several new characters that the three remaining sisters meet while on a seaside Maine vacation with good-natured Aunt Claire and their beloved friend, Jeffrey.
With Rosalind away, Skye agonizes over her role as OAP (Oldest Available Penderwick), fretting that she won’t be able “to keep Batty alive and undamaged for two weeks.” Balancing the novel’s comedy is an affecting, neatly crafted subplot that builds up to the emotionally charged revelation involving Jeffrey. From start to finish, this is a summer holiday to savor.
Join Caledonia and the Penderwick Sisters as vacation season REALLY gets rolling. Presented live in voice.

THE WEEK THAT WAS July 11-14
It is the very good fortune of a few of us to see all the edited shots that Bear Silvershade takes of our sessions, and my difficult task every week to decide which to post. This week, I am making fewer decisions and posting more shots. Bless you Bear! It has been almost a year, I think, that we have had the great good fortune to enjoy you many talents, not the least of which is your keen photographic eye. BRAVO BEAR!

WEDNESDAY 13 July @ 7pm: Vintage Paranormal with Rosslyn Guardian
Imagine Sherlock Holmes meets the X-Files!
Storyteller Rosslyn Guardian continues a series of short stories written in the early 1900's by Englishwoman Dion Fortune. Ms. Fortune was a Kabbalistic Ritualist who, with her group, did esoteric work to combat the occult workings of Hitler during WW II. Meditating through the blitz in London, she later moved to Glastonbury to continue her work.
Although she wrote mostly nonfiction, she did write a few novels, very dated by today's standards, but her real fiction gem was this book of short stories."Secrets of Dr. Taverner". The character of Dr. Taverner is a Holmesian fellow who runs a residential clinic in the English countryside. With a background in esoterics he deals with cases the establishment couldn't touch.
