THURSDAY 29 July @ 7pm: "Juniper" a magical tale (pt 2) with Derry McMahon
Juniper faces a traumatic task tonight, and her family comes to visit. Then Juniper moves under the tutelage of another woman with magic powers, Angharad. In that house she meets another apprentice, and finally gets enough to eat, and a warm place to sleep. Angharad teachs her not just about magic, but also how to weave a Doran's cloak, a very necessary item. Part 2 - story in voice.
WEDNESDAY 28 July @ 7pm: "The Adventure of the Dancing Men" with Sherlock and Shandon
In this tale, from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Holmes tries to figure out the meaning of messages sent using a code of little dancing men, instead of letters. Someone is sending messages about something to someone else. But what are the missing pieces? Who understands the code, and are they hiding that fact? There are smoking guns, piles of money, foreign visitors and a lady with a shady past. So join us as Shandon Loring, our chief storyteller shares this story in voice.

The Holes Around Mars - by Jerome Bixby (1954)
Astronauts land on Mars and discover mysterious holes drilled into the landscape. Strangely they all line up and the holes almost appear polished. They decide that "the mystery deepens. You know the drill. Men, Fall In!" A tongue in cheek story about Mars, read in voice.

To Kill a Mockingbird is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by American Author Harper Lee which was published 50 years ago on July 11th, 1960. The novel is renowned for its warmth and humor, despite dealing with the serious issues of rape and racial inequality. The narrator's father, Atticus Finch, has served as a moral hero for many readers and as a model of integrity for lawyers. One critic explained the novel's impact by writing, "In the twentieth century, To Kill a Mockingbird is probably the most widely read book dealing with race in America, and its protagonist, Atticus Finch, the most enduring fictional image of racial heroism."
