2016 DICKENS PROJECT SL

"I HAVE endeavoured in this ghostly little book, to raise the Ghost of an Idea, which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with the season, or with me. May it haunt their houses pleasantly, and no one wish to lay it."

Their faithful Friend and Servant,

C. D.
December, 1843

Since December of 1843, Charles Dickens' "Ghostly little book", A CHRISTMAS CAROL, has never fallen out of favor, or been out of print.  Endlessly adapted, its journey of redemption has broad appeal for its secular focus, rather than sacred invocation.  Every year since Seanchai Library was founded, we have presented this classic tale, and in 2012 that grew into The Dickens Project.

We are pleased to share our passion for this brilliant novella and its powerful message with the Second Life community once again, and proud to be working with Kultivate Magazine on this year's edition of THE DICKENS PROJECT SL 2016 will feature more music, a Resource Center created by the Community Virtual Library, presentations of other works by Charles Dickens, and "The Eight Days of Dickens" mini-hunt.

This year's Project benefits Team Diabetes of Second Life (American Diabetes Association)

The Dickens Project 2016 on Water Haven in Second Life.

Unable to visit yet, says "Not on access list". Is there a group in SL?

There is a group in SL! Not for this project alone, but for the Seanchai Library. A search for that should lead right to us.
