THURSDAY, November 29th at 7pm: "THE SANTA CLAUSE"

Divorcee Scott Calvin is disgusted to learn that his ex and her husband have tried - and failed - to break it easy to their 6-year-old son Charlie that Santa isn't real. On Christmas Eve, Scott reads The Night Before Christmas... then receives an unexpected visitor on his roof. When he's startled by Scott's calling out and falls, the Santa impersonator disappears, leaving only an 8-reindeer sleigh and a suit with instructions to put it on if he's involved in an accident. Scott does, and is transported around the town dropping gifts through chimneys until he's taken to the North Pole and informed by a group who claim they're elves that he is now Santa. Charlie is proud of his dad's new job, though Scott's convinced it's a dream. Until his hair turns white, his beard refuses to stay shaved, he gains weight inexplicably, even for his sudden love of junk food... Now he's accepted it, there's just one problem: how to keep it secret from his disbelieving family?

The aliens have landed! The aliens have landed! But instead of shooting death rays, taking over the planet and carrying off Earthwomen, they've just been standing there for months on end, glaring like a disapproving relative. And now it's nearly Christmas, and the commission assigned to establish communications is at their wits' end. They've resorted to taking the aliens to Broncos games, lighting displays, and shopping malls, in the hope they'll respond to something! Will the spirit of the holiday's build a bridge between humankind and their silent visitors?

Award-winning Science Fiction author Connie Willis displays her soft spot for the holidays.

Wendy, John, and Michael have arrived in Neverland to a resounding, booming welcome.  Just not quite the welcome they might have expected!

TUESDAY 13 Nov at 7pm: Steampunk Stories with the Seanchai Ladies

Join Faerie, Caledonia and Derry for two more steampunk stories.

“The Dowager Moncur’s Spectacles” by Laura Moncur.   Is the Lady Moncur mad? Dowager Lady Moncur owns three pair of spectacles – that is odd, but not mad; but the odd thing is what those glasses show the good lady.  You would think she’d just read the novels of Charles Dickens with them, but no!  Join Caledonia Skytower and Derry McMahon to see what the Dowager sees in her spectacles.

“Lessons of a Clockwork Queen” by Megan Arkenberg.  Sometimes things really don’t run well, even when they run by clockwork.   A fairy tale set in steampunk time, with a cast of clockwork queens, winding-key maids and a perfumer’s daughter.  This story offers lessons taught and learned, and a bit of romance.  Presented in voice by Faerie Maven-Pralou.

MONDAY, November 12th at 7pm: More from "Kite Fighters"

More from Linda Sue Park's delightful celebration of brotherhood, set in Fifteenth-century Korea.

We've met the two brothers.  We've learned of the great skill of one at the engineering and decoration of beautiful, strong kites.  We've learned by test of the great skill of the other at flying kites, sometimes under profound restrictions.  Come and enjoy as Gina shares more of this touching and suspenseful story that mixes a vivid setting with the journey of the brothers as they grow in skill, gain praise, and challenge family traditions.

Presented Live in Voice.

SUNDAY, November 11th @ 6pm: PETER PAN ~ Part 2

"I can fly!" and off they go to the Never Land: Wendy, John, and Michael, just narrowly escaping being stopped by their loving parents.

Caledonia continues the month-long adventure with the boy who won't grow up tonight with Part 2 at Magicland Park: Peter and the Darlings are on their way to the Never Land, where natives, faeries, and mermaids await them.  And Pirates!  Don't for get the pirates, and most specifically THE PIRATE: Jas Hook himself!  Share the adventures as Wendy, John, and Michael arrive in this magical world of imagination.

Presented Live in Voice.  Part 2 of 6, presented through out the month of November in sequence at Seanchai Library and Magicland Park
